Application Process

1. Apply online. Set aside ample time to fill out the Application Form. This is a competitive process and the essay questions require your thoughtful responses. Make sure you have a referral name and the telephone number from your local campus Chabad or other Jewish community educator; it’s a required field for your application. Have your credit card ready to pay your $50 Application Fee. You’ll be directed there once you submit your form.

2. Pay your non-refundable $50 Application Fee. Make sure to indicate it’s for Snorkel & Study.

3. Send us your letter of recommendation. Your Chabad House director or other Jewish community educator should email their letter to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or mail to Snorkel & Study, 383 Kingston Avenue, Suite 248, Brooklyn, NY 11213-4333.

4. Confirm your scholarship. We will start sending out email notifications of scholarships on Nov 8, 2008. To secure the award, you must confirm your scholarship within 7 days, either by email or phone. Once you confirm, go ahead and book your ticket.

5. Email a recent photo of yourself. (It's our way of getting to know you just a little better before you arrive.)

6. Email your travel itinerary. Transportation to and from the airport is your responsibility but we may be able to match you up with other participants with similar flights once we know your travel plans.sections
